Job Description

A non-profit, values-driven care organisation needs a Registered Nurse for part-time work at one of its aged care homes, with Dubbo, NSW the nearest main city. Its services across the state cover residential aged care, home care and retirement villages.

The employer wants a motivated, enthusiastic nurse who cares about person-centred practice and can deliver strong clinical care to older residents, including those with dementia. The employer will consider visa sponsorship for the right candidate, and post-graduate applicants are also welcome to put their hand up. Whoever is appointed will have backing from an experienced leadership group and a corporate support team.

- Provide strong clinical services to older people living in a residential aged care home
n
- Keep care person-centred, shaped around each resident
n
- Look after residents, among them people living with dementia
n
- Work as part of the care team
n
- Take on varied shifts across different days of the week
n

- Full and unrestricted AHPRA registration in the Registered Nurse category
n
- A transparent knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
n
- Post-graduate candidates may apply
n
- An affinity for working with residents with dementia, plus experience or a willingness to gain it
n
- Excellent communication skills
n
- Excellent clinical problem-solving skills
n
- A highly motivated, excellent team player who can work various shifts across various days
n
- Vaccination status that meets the organisation's Immunisation and Vaccination Policy, including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and the annual influenza vaccine
n
- A National Criminal History Check and a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment, both to be undertaken
