Job Description

We are seeking a caring, patient and reliable Personal Care Worker to live onsite and provide in-home support and companionship for an elderly person living with dementia. The role is focused on helping maintain a safe, comfortable and independent home environment, while providing respectful and compassionate day-to-day assistance.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Providing companionship, reassurance and dementia-appropriate support
n
- Assisting with personal care, dressing and daily routines as required
n
- Preparing meals and assisting with household activities
n
- Medication prompting and supporting established care routines
n
- Accompanying the client to appointments, shopping and occasional outings
n




- Monitoring general wellbeing and communicating any concerns to the family
n
- Maintaining a safe and tidy home workplace
n
- Providing assistance overnight when reasonably required
n

About you nn
- Warm, trustworthy, calm and genuinely enjoys supporting older people
n
- Previous experience in aged care or dementia care is strongly preferred
n
- Relevant aged-care qualifications, First Aid/CPR, police check and references are highly regarded
n
- Live onsite with private accommodation provided as part of the arrangement
