Senior Legal Counsel | Energy & Infrastructure Melbourne | Renewable Energy Sector n

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal professional to join a rapidly growing organisation operating at the forefront of Australia's energy transition.

This role offers the chance to work closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders, providing legal and commercial support across major infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

n

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting project development, procurement, construction, financing and broader commercial activities as the business continues its next phase of growth.

The Opportunity n

As a trusted legal advisor to the business, you will:

- Provide strategic legal and commercial advice across a portfolio of major projects.
n
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including EPC, supply, construction and services contracts.
n
- Support project development, delivery and operational activities.
n
- Partner with internal stakeholders across development, finance, commercial and project delivery teams.
n
- Assist with project financing, governance and investment-related matters.
n
- Manage external legal advisers and specialist consultants.
n
- Identify and mitigate legal, contractual and commercial risks.
n
- Contribute to the development of legal frameworks,



processes and governance initiatives to support business growth.

About You n

You will be a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business and contributing to project outcomes.

We are interested in candidates with:

n

n
- 5-8 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
n
- Experience gained in-house and/or within a reputable private practice environment.
n
- Exposure to projects, infrastructure, construction, energy and/or renewable energy sectors.
n
- Strong experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements.
n
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to legal risk management.
n
- Experience supporting major capital projects and complex stakeholder environments.
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- The ability to thrive in a quick-paced and evolving business environment.
