We're looking for a friendly, reliable Café Steward to join our crew onboard the Micat ferry , operating between the Port of Brisbane and Moreton Island.

You’ll be part of the team that keeps our onboard café running smoothly — serving excellent coffee, snacks, and smiles while helping to make every journey a great experience for our passengers.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fast-paced customer service, working on the water, and being part of a close-knit team.
n
The role offers up to 30+ hours per week , with shifts available across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
What You'll Be Doing n
Preparing and serving food and beverages in our onboard café
n
Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of café and passenger areas
n
Operating the POS system and handling cash/card transactions
n
Assisting passengers and crew as needed during voyages and on embarking/disembarking
n
Supporting general onboard duties and maintaining safety standards
About You n
You'll bring a great attitude, teamwork, and strong customer service focus.
n
We're looking for someone with:
n
Minimum 6 months of café, barista, or hospitality experience
n
A friendly and professional approach with customers
n
Solid attention to detail and a hands-on work ethic
n
Ability to work safely in a marine environment and handle physical demands of ferry operations
n
Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and public holidays)
n
Valid Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate visa)
n
Basic understanding of marine or vessel operations is an advantage (not essential – training provided)
n
Current food safety/hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
n
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification preferred
