- Whether your passion is in engineering, science, project management, architecture or another consulting speciality, we’ll work with you to find your ideal first role.
- During your three months, you’ll get exposure to a range of career pathways available at GHD - because no future should come with split ends!
- You’ll have the chance to work in design teams to help deliver exciting projects, contribute to bids and tenders, as well as participating in our broader Intern challenge.
- Get meaningful feedback in your internship and we’ll help iron out any kinks along the way

For our 2027 Civil Engineering Internship opportunities in Gladstone and Townsville , we’re looking for passionate Civil Engineering students eager to gain hands‑on experience working on a diverse range of infrastructure, transport, water, industrial,



and community development projects. If you’re currently studying Civil Engineering and are keen to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to real projects, we’d love to hear from you.

A little more about the role can be found below:

- Support Civil Engineers in the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
- Assist with the preparation of technical calculations, drawings, reports, and design documentation.
- Contribute to project coordination activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gain practical project experience.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and the development of engineering solutions.
- Support project delivery by helping manage schedules, deliverables, and client requirements.

Here’s what to expect, step by step:

- Screening: We review applications as they come in, but be mindful that the bulk of our screening happens after applications close, so don’t worry if you don’t hear from us right away.
- Virtual Assessments: If you make it through the first stage, you’ll record some answers to a few straightforward questions and complete some cognitive games. This helps us get a better sense of your work style and alignment to GHD
