Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Elsternwick, VIC .

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your automotive career in a professional workshop setting , working alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology .

n

You’ll gain practical experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

No previous automotive experience is required. If you have a genuine passion for cars, enjoy working with your hands and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing n

As a Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you’ll learn how to:

Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.

Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical faults.

Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.

Service and repair braking systems.

n

Work on steering and suspension systems.

Assist with engine servicing and mechanical repairs.

Maintain and repair cooling systems.

Work with vehicle electrical and electronic systems.

n

Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.

Complete safety and vehicle inspections.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
