CYC Forest Edge is set on a beautiful 120 acre property on the banks of the LaTrobe River, catering year-round for 200+ guests at a time. We have the privilege of hosting a variety of groups with varying needs and objectives, from high-energy adventure focused programs through to relaxing retreats. As part of our Catering team you have the opportunity serve our guests through providing tasty, visually appealing and healthy meals, in a clean, pleasant, and welcoming camp environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
Reporting to the Head of Catering, the Cook/Chef’s main goal is to ensure that our guests receive delicious and nutritious meals on time, in accordance with the food safety plan, and served with exceptional customer service.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Prepare and cook meals as per the pre-arranged menu
n
- Oversee special diets
n
- Communicate with guests regarding the needs of their groups including dietary needs
n
- Monitor food quality and presentation
n
- Ensure food service areas are clean and organized.
n
- Assist in the development and creation of new menu items.
n
- Adhere to the food safety program and kitchen cleaning/maintenance programs
n
- Train and mentor kitchen staff,
ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
n

- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential requirements:

- A Victorian employee Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Valid rights to work in Australia
