Working within the education sector you will be responsible for a range of cleaning tasks, these responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

n

- General cleaning of the school;
n
- Collection of waste from designated waste stations;
n
- Maintaining wet floor areas, including kitchens and toilets;
n
- Implementing wet weather procedures / displaying wet floor or hazard signage / report hazards and incidents / implementing spillage procedures;
n
- Comply with hygiene policies and procedures / comply with infection control policies and procedures;
n
- Reporting of any maintenance requirements;
n
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly;
n




- Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring secure work practices are maintained.
n

To ensure success in this role we anticipate that the successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: nn
- Experience working in a high paced environment – education cleaning (minimum 2 years);
n
- Previous window cleaning experience;
n
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence in communicating with people from diverse backgrounds;
n
- Customer service experience, working with and around children;
n
- Reliable, punctual and well presented;
n
- Ability to work alone and part of a team;
n
- Must have current working with children check;
n
