Job Description
Club Sales & Partnerships Manager – Cheer & Dance n
Club Sales & Partnerships Manager – Cheer & Dance
n
CheerCon | Beresfield, NSW | Permanent Part-Time – 30 Hours | Hybrid | Base + Commission
n
Know the cheer and dance industry? Great with people, commercially minded and someone who never lets an enquiry go unfollowed?
n
CheerCon is looking for a Club Sales & Partnerships Manager to become the go-to person for our new and existing club clients across Australia.
n
This is a newly created role combining sales, relationship management and business development across our apparel, merchandise and event divisions.
n
We're looking for someone who understands the cheer and/or dance world, builds genuine relationships and has the drive to turn opportunities into results — without being a pushy salesperson.
n
You’ll look after our existing club network while actively finding new clients, growing product and apparel sales, and bringing more clubs, universities and scholastic programs into CheerCon events.
The role n
You’ll manage and grow relationships with club owners, coaches, universities and schools, helping them with everything CheerCon has to offer, including:
n
n
- Custom uniforms and training apparel
n
- Club and event merchandise
n
- Costumes
n
- Pom poms, bows and accessories
n
- CheerCon event registrations
n
n
You’ll be responsible for both nurturing existing clients and actively finding new business .
n
A major focus will also be growing participation across CheerCon events — including introducing new and developing clubs, university programs and scholastic programs to our competitions.
What you’ll be doing n
n
- Building strong, long-term relationships with existing club clients
n
- Becoming the primary sales contact for club owners and coaches
n
- Managing and following up apparel, merchandise and product enquiries
n
- Proactively identifying sales opportunities within existing accounts
n
- Finding and developing new club clients
n
- Preparing, managing and following up quotes and sales opportunities
n
- Promoting CheerCon events and converting interest into registrations
n
- Developing relationships with clubs that haven’t previously attended All Star competitions
n
- Growing university and scholastic participation
n
- Re‑engaging previous and inactive clients
n
- Keeping accurate records of conversations, opportunities and follow-ups
n
- Working closely with our apparel, events, marketing and operations teams
n
- Contributing directly to overall sales, profit and client growth
n
The follow-up matters n
One of the biggest expectations of this role is simple:
n
Nothing gets forgotten.
n
If someone asks for a quote, it gets followed up.
n
If someone sends an enquiry, they get a response.
n
If a club says, “Maybe next season”, that’s recorded and followed up next season.
n
We don’t want someone who simply answers enquiries as they arrive. We want someone who takes ownership of opportunities and follows them through.
n
You’ll need exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills, as you’ll often have multiple clients, quotes and opportunities moving at once.
Who we’re looking for n
A strong background or experience within the cheerleading and/or dance industry is highly desirable .
n
You might currently be a coach, club/studio administrator, program manager, industry retailer, apparel representative, event professional or someone from the cheer/dance world who has moved into sales or customer service.
n
You don’t need years of corporate sales experience. We’re looking for the right combination of industry knowledge, people skills, commercial instinct and follow-through.
n
You’ll ideally:
n
n
- Be personable, confident and genuinely enjoy building relationships
n
- Understand the cheer and/or dance industry
n
- Have experience in sales, retail, customer service or account management
n
- Be able to sell confidently without being aggressive or pushy
n
- Be comfortable proactively approaching potential clients
n
- Have exceptional attention to detail
n
- Be highly organised and excellent with follow-ups
n
- Be confident using computer programs and online systems
n
- Work independently and take ownership
n
- Be commercially minded and motivated by growth
n
Adaptable & hybrid working n
This is a permanent part-time position working 30 hours per week , with flexibility around how those hours are structured across the working week.
n
For your first month , your hours will be worked from our Beresfield office while you learn our products, events, systems, processes and clients.
n
Once you’re established in the role, you’ll move to a hybrid arrangement with the equivalent of:
n
2 days per week working from our Beresfield office
n
Remaining hours able to be worked from home
n
We’re happy to discuss how the 30 hours are structured to find an arrangement that works for both you and the business.
n
Because this is a client-facilitating sales role, you’ll need to be self-motivated, organised and highly responsive to clients regardless of where you’re working.
Base rate + commission n
This position offers a base rate plus performance-based commission , giving you the opportunity to directly increase your earnings as you grow the business.
n
Commission is linked to growth in profit and operates on a sliding scale — meaning the more profitable growth you generate, the greater your commission opportunity.
n
Growth can come from:
n
n
- Increasing sales with existing clubs
n
- Winning new club clients
n
- Growing apparel, merchandise and product sales
n
- Increasing CheerCon event entries
n
- Growing university and scholastic participation
n
- Re‑engaging previous clients
n
- Identifying and converting new revenue opportunities
n
n
Full details of the commission structure will be discussed during the interview process.
Sound like you? n
If you understand cheer and dance, love building relationships, have a strong sales mindset and are the type of person who actually follows things through , we’d love to hear from you.
n
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new role and directly contribute to the growth of CheerCon — while being financially rewarded for the results you create.
