We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team in our Maintenance Department at South Walker Creek.
You will need n
n
- A robust commitment to Zero Harm;

- An ability to work and communicate well in a team environment;
n
- Compliance and knowledge with relevant mine site safety procedures, safe work instructions, standard operating procedures, legislation and rules.
n
- Undertake preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance, and refurbishment work.
n
- Ability to perform diagnostics, fault finding and quality workmanship on equipment to minimise down time.
n
- Ability to complete accurate daily maintenance records and trade shift reporting.
n
- Strong leadership to ensure your team consistently follow the standards and procedures promoting a safe work environment..
n
- Coaching and mentoring of apprentices.
n
- Positively influence the development and direction of maintenance strategies and processes to meet site requirements.
n
To be part of our ongoing success you will have: nn
- Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
n
- Have proven experience on Marion 8050 Dragline's
n
- Have proven experience as a fitter maintaining heavy mobile equipment including but not limited to: Cat Bulldozers, Graders, and Loaders
n
- Mechanical Fitter or equivalent Trade qualified with 2 years post trade experience in a mining or similar environment
n
- Demonstrate a proactive approach and a positive outlook to waste reduction and cost effectiveness
n
- General computer skills with SAP & Microsoft office programs
n
- A passion for safety as a way of life - zero harm focus
n
- Compliance and exceptional knowledge of mine safety procedures, regulations, safe work instructions, legislation and rules
n
- Leading Hand experience (desirable)
