Service Technician – Mechanical Trade l Full Time l $45–$50 per hour

The Service Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical maintenance and repair services to support operational requirements. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability and on time across the site. The position is available due to ongoing operational growth and increasing workload.

About the Role:

n
n

n
n
- Complete daily mechanical maintenance activities in line with the maintenance plan, as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.
n
n
- Troubleshoot machine components to identify causes of failure, including gathering and documenting failure evidence for further analysis when required.
n
n
- Provide guidance and support to assistants in their duties.
n
n
- Participate in special projects as required.
n
n
- Maintain punctuality and reliability at all times.
n
n
- Ensure parts are used correctly and in accordance with work order task descriptions.
n
n
- On completion of repairs, ensure all removed parts are cleaned and tagged with relevant work order information.
n
n
- Ensure all company tools are returned to designated storage areas after use.
n
n
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
n
n




- Proactively raise improvement opportunities with the Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
n

Experience:

n
n

n
n
- Trade qualification in a Mechanical discipline.
n
n
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience in a mechanical maintenance or service technician role.
n
n
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and diagnose faults effectively.
n
n
- Experience working to maintenance plans and work orders in an industrial or site-based workplace.
n
n
- Ability to work independently while supporting and guiding assistants.
n
n
- Strong attention to detail, including accurate tagging, documentation, and parts handling.
n
n
- Commitment to workplace safety, housekeeping, and compliance with procedures.
n
n
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
n
n
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with supervisors and site personnel.
n
n
