We’re looking for a Survey Assistant to join a civil construction project in Bethania.
n
You’ll work directly alongside the project’s qualified Surveyor, assisting with the day-to-day surveying and set-out requirements across a busy civil site.
n
Ideally, you’ll already have some exposure to surveying, whether that’s as a Survey Assistant, civil labourer, engineering assistant or through previous experience working around survey equipment and set-out.
n
You don't need to be a qualified Surveyor. What we're looking for is someone practical, switched on and keen to learn.
n
The role will include:
n

- Assisting the Surveyor with general site surveying activities
n
- Helping with set-out, levels and measurements
n
- Setting up and moving survey equipment
n
- Pegging and marking out
n
- Recording information as required
n
- Working around civil crews, machinery and pipework
n
- General labouring and assisting the site crew when surveying work allows
n
- Learning more of the surveying function as you go
n

This is very much a hands-on site role. There will be times you're assisting the Surveyor and times you're expected to jump in and help the crew with general labouring.n
Ideally you'll have:
n
n
- Some previous surveying or civil construction experience
n
- Exposure to survey equipment, lasers, levels or set-out would be highly regarded
n
- White Card
n
- Good communication skills
n
- Ability to follow instructions and work accurately
n
- Comfortable working outdoors and doing physical work
n
- Reliable transport
n
- A willingness to learn
n
