What we are looking for

n

We’re seeking a practical and capable Pack ShedSupervisor to support the coordination and supervision of daily blueberrypacking operations at our Walkamin Pack Shed.

n

This role will provide day-to-day leadership and directionto pack shed employees while supporting safe, efficient and high-qualitypacking operations. You’ll help coordinate pack line activities, labourrequirements, stock availability, equipment readiness, food safety and qualitystandards.

n

This role would suit someone with previous experienceleading teams within a pack shed, horticultural, food manufacturing orproduction environment. You’ll be organised, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and able to balance changing fruit volumes, workforcerequirements and operational priorities.

n

Flexibility to work varying hours during peak productionperiods will be required. The role involves working within production, packingand cold storage environments.

What you’lldo

- Support the coordination of daily pack shedoperations to maximise fruit quality, productivity and yield
n




- Supervise pack line activities and employees toachieve production, quality and efficiency targets
n
- Coordinate labour and workflow across designatedpacking operations
n
- Monitor packing performance, productivity, wastageand labour allocation
n
- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and supportto pack shed employees
n
- Assist with onboarding, training and development ofemployees
n
- Monitor fruit quality and ensure packing activitiesmeet food safety, quality and customer requirements
n
- Communicate with Harvest and Quality Assuranceteams regarding fruit quality and operational priorities
n
- Monitor packaging stock levels and identifyreplenishment requirementsSupport equipment servicing and maintenanceactivities in collaboration with technical support teams
n
- Identify and escalation safety, quality, maintenance,staffing and operational concerns
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement across packshed processes and performance
n

- Previous experience leading or supervising teams
n
- Strong communication, organisational andproblem-solving skills
n
- The ability to provide clear direction, coachingand support to employees
n
- Experience within a pack shed, horticultural, foodmanufacturing or production environment is desirable
n
- A strong focus on productivity, efficiency andachieving operational targets
n
- High attention to detail and a commitment toproduct quality
n
- The ability to work within food safety, qualityassurance and workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Confidence building positive working relationshipsacross operational teams
n
- Competence using Microsoft Office
n

Experience using SAP or automated production systems will behighly regarded. A forklift licence, First Aid Certificate or relevant trainingin food safety, workplace health and safety or people leadership would also beadvantageous.
