SINGING TEACHER WANTED Can you sing? Can you teach? Can you handle kids randomly bursting into song? PERFECT. n

We’re looking for a fun, energetic Singing Teacher to join our crew.

And before we go any further...

n

We’re not looking for someone who wants to stand behind a piano looking serious while everyone sings scales for an hour.

n

We want someone who makes kids LOVE coming to singing .

n

Someone bubbly. Someone encouraging. Someone who can get the quiet kid to finally use the microphone and the confident kid to stop trying to steal it.

n

Basically...

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING n

Teaching group singing classes to kids of different ages and abilities.

n

You’ll work on things like:

n

- Vocal technique
n
- Breathing and control
n
- Confidence
n
- Harmonies
n
- Performance skills
n
- Microphone technique
n
- Group numbers
n
- Solo opportunities
n
- Musical theatre/pop songs
n
- Preparing students for performances
n

n

And probably answering...

n

"Can we sing this song?"

n

Approximately 347 times per term.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? n

You DON'T need to be Beyoncé.

n

Actually, Beyoncé probably isn't available Fridays anyway.

You DO need to: n

n
- Understand vocal technique
n
- Be confident leading a group
n
- Actually LIKE kids
n
- Be encouraging and positive
n
- Bring some energy into the room
n
- Be reliable
n
- Be organised-ish (we're realistic )
n
- Be happy being part of a team
n
- Want to help kids become confident performers
n

Teaching experience would be fabulous.

n

Qualifications would be lovely.

n

But if you're an awesome singer with performance experience and the personality to teach , we still want to hear from you.

WHO ARE WE? n

A growing Performing Arts School

We're a busy, slightly crazy, award-winning performing arts studio in Wagga with a big focus on confidence, inclusivity, performance and giving kids somewhere they genuinely love coming each week .

We take what we do seriously.

We just don't take ourselves too seriously.

Our staff laugh.

Our kids laugh.

n

There's usually music playing somewhere.

n

And there's almost certainly someone dancing when they're supposed to be doing something else.

This is a casual teaching position .

Classes are currently held on Fridays , with the prospect for the role to grow.

We're happy to work with the right person around other work, uni or performance commitments.

Most importantly, we want someone who fits our studio .
