Experienced Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Technician
Rouse Hill Family Vets | Full Time

We’ve recently welcomed our sixth veterinarian, and as our hospital grows, we’re looking for another experienced Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician to join our team.
n
We’re an independent small animal hospital, a Fear Free Certified Practice and an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic .
n
We care about high standards, genuine teamwork, clear systems and helping positive people keep developing.
n
This won’t suit every nurse — and that’s okay.
n
We’re looking for someone who wants to do good work, take ownership and keep getting better.
You’ll probably thrive here if you: n

Care about doing things properly
n
What nursing looks like here n
Our nurses are an active part of the clinical team.
n
We use a team-based consult model , so nurses often start consults, gather information, prepare the patient and client for the vet, and help conclude the consult by reinforcing the plan and organising next steps.
n
You’ll also be involved in anaesthesia, surgery, IV catheter placement and blood collection, radiography, pathology, hospital care, nurse consults and client education.
n
We want nurses who think,
communicate and participate in patient care — not simply wait for the next task.
How we work n
We use clear workflows, checklists and agreed systems because they help people do good work consistently.
n
Every team member has a monthly 1:1 focused on feedback, development and next steps, and we set aside time every Wednesday for team training and meetings.
n
Our senior nurses, team leads and vets are taught how to coach and support the people around them.
n
We’re also a neurodiversity-friendly workplace , with practical systems designed to reduce unnecessary friction and make it easier for people to succeed.
n
We invest heavily in our people. In return, we expect ownership, reliability, follow-through, professional communication and a willingness to act on feedback.
About you n
You’ll need:
n
n
- n
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing OR a Veterinary Technology degree
n
- n
At least 2 years’ veterinary nursing experience
