Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Senior Datacom DBA Consultant to provide specialist database administration support within a complexIBM Mainframe environment .

This is a hands‑on role focused on administering and supportingDatacom databases , ensuring database reliability, performance and availability across development and testing environments.

Key Responsibilities n

- Administer and maintain Datacom databases .
n
- Build, configure, refresh and restore database environments.
n
- Support development and testing teams with database-related activities.
n
- Diagnose and resolve database and performance issues.
n
- Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery activities.
n
- Monitor and tune database performance.
n
- Support migration, testing and implementation preparation activities.
n
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
n
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team.
n

Mandatory Skills & Experience nn
- 10+ years of hands‑on Datacom DBA experience .
n
- Strong experience in Datacom database administration, maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
n
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex database and performance issues.
n
- Experience supporting application development and testing environments.
n
- Strong experience working withinIBM Mainframe environments .
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance.
n
- Experience within banking, insurance or other regulated industries.
n
- Experience supporting migration or modernisation programs.
n
- Knowledge of data migration, transformation and reconciliation activities.
n
- Familiarity with mainframe scheduling and performance monitoring tools.
n
