A prominent international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Insurance Litigation team in Melbourne.

This is a strong opportunity to work on complex financial lines and qualified indemnity matters within a high-performing practice, with exposure to high-profile disputes, class actions and regulatory matters.

The Opportunity

n

You’ll work closely with an experienced Partner and team on a broad mix of sophisticated matters, acting for insurers, corporates and professionals across a range of industries.

n

n

Your work will include:

n
- Professional indemnity and D&O; matters

n
n
- Construction-related disputes (primarily litigated)

n
n
- Class action defence work

n
n
- Coverage advice for insurers

n
n
- Regulatory investigations and disputes

n
n
- Drafting pleadings, advices and submissions

n
n
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and insurers

n
n
- Appearances in courts and tribunals (as appropriate)

n
n

n

n
n You’ll gain exposure to matters across multiple jurisdictions, including superior courts and tribunals.n

About You

n

n
- 4+ years’ post-admission experience (flexible)

n
n
- Background in commercial litigation, insurance or professional indemnity

n
n
- Strong litigation and file management skills

n
n




- Excellent drafting, communication and research ability

- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously

- Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail

- Commercially focused with a client-centric approach
