AboutHealth Centre n

Located 30km north of Newcastle at RAAF Base Williamtown, Australia’s premier fighter pilot training base. The base is one of the busiest in NSW, employing over 4500 people.The healthcentre provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing,physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.Standard operating hoursaregenerally Monday - Friday.

Whatyou’lldo n

- Deliver high-qualitymental healthcare to Defence members
n
- Conductingfitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
n




- Undertaking assessments,interventions,managing medications,formulating treatment and care plansfor individuals and groupeducation sessions
n
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environmentwhere patientwellness is paramount
n

What you bring nn
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as aRegistered Nurse
n
- One of the following:
n
- ACMHNcredentialed
n
- Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
n
- Mental Health trained nurse /UKtrained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
n
- Minimum two years’PostRN general registrationexperiencewithinlast five yearsinmental health withinaPrimary HealthcareSettingor Specialist Mental Health Setting
n
- Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ asperMedicare Schedule
n
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
n
- Australian CitizenshiprequiredtoobtainBaseline Security Clearance
n
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
