Job Description

The Internal Sales & Store Person is a agile role essential to the daily operations of the Geebung branch. This position bridges the gap between warehouse efficiency and excellent customer service. The successful candidate will ensure that inbound and outbound logistics are handled accurately and safely, while also serving as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order processing, and sales support.

Key responsibilities n

Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring items like extinguishers, hoses, and suppression system components are securely packaged

n

Book freight and coordinate with external transport and courier providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of orders

n

Receive inbound deliveries, verify packing slips against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and accurately put stock away in designated locations

n

Assist with cycle counts, stocktakes, and general inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels

n

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, strictly adhering to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines

n

Act as the first point of contact for inbound phone calls and walk-in trade customers, providing a professional and welcoming experience

n

Enter customer orders accurately into the inventory/ERP system and provide updates on stock availability and lead times

n

Assist B2B customers with general product inquiries and pricing

n





Identify complex technical requirements and seamlessly escalte these queries to the appropriate senior sales or technical staff members

About you n

Previous experience in a warehousing, storeperson, or internal sales role, preferably within a B2B, industrial, or trade wholesale environment

n

A valid Forklift License (LF) is required

n

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone and in person

n

Confident in using computer systems for booking freight via online portals, entering sales orders, and responding to emails

n

Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks and safely lift items as required in a warehouse environment

n

A proactive attitude with the ability to switch seamlessly between warehouse duties and customer-facing tasks depending on branch priorities
