Personal Care Worker (Canberra) - Night Shift n

Join our team as a casual PCW on night shifts! We're looking for an experienced, resilient, and compassionate care professional who is confident supporting clients living with dementia, delirium, and challenging behaviours . You'll deliver high-quality, person-centred care while promoting safety, dignity, and wellbeing. A flexible approach and willingness to travel are essential. Candidates available to start ASAP will be highly regarded.

What You’ll Be Doing

n

n
- Providing personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
n
- Assisting with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment Supporting clients with meals, feeding, and hydration
n




- Helping clients with dressing and maintaining their personal appearance
n
- Offering companionship and emotional support to promote client wellbeing
n
- Performing light housekeeping tasks including making beds, doing laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
n
- Observing and reporting any changes in clients’ health or behavior
n
- Engaging clients in meaningful social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
n
- Collaborating with nurses and allied health professionals to ensure quality care
n

What We’re Looking For

n

n
- Experience working with home care clients
n
- Must have an experience in caring for clients with delirium, dementia, and challenging behaviours
n
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or equivalent
n
- Must be available for night shifts
n
- Ability to start ASAP is preferred
n
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
- Must be willing to travel between client locations
n
- A current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
n
- Must have work rights in Australia
n
- A genuine passion for helping others and pride in delivering high-quality personal care services.
n
- Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic
n
- A desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our veteran clients
n
- Robust communication skills and ability to work well in a team
