Registered Nurse (RN) – Newcastle / Hunter Region, NSW

Location: Newcastle and Hunter Region, NSW
Employment Type: Casual / Agency Shifts
Pay Rate: $65–$75 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role

East Bridge Recruitment is seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to work across aged care facilities in the Newcastle and Hunter Region. We have flexible casual shifts available for nurses who are passionate about providing high-quality care and making a positive difference in residents’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor residents’ health, assess clinical needs and report changes in condition.
- Complete clinical documentation, progress notes and incident reports.
- Lead and support care staff, including AINs and ENs, where required.
- Liaise with residents, families, GPs and other healthcare professionals.




- Respond appropriately to emergencies and maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Ensure compliance with aged care standards, workplace policies and qualified nursing requirements.

Essential Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous aged care nursing experience preferred.
- Current National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable.
- Up-to-date vaccinations and relevant compliance documents.
- Strong communication, clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- A compassionate, reliable and qualified approach to resident care.
