We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Supervisor / Excavator Operator to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on role combining site supervision with machine operation, ideal for someone who leads by example and takes pride in delivering high-quality civil works.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and plant
n
- Operate excavators and other machinery as required
n
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
n
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
n
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with WHS regulations
n
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
n
- Liaise with project managers, clients
n
- Manage materials, equipment, and site resources efficiently
n
Skills & Experience nn
- Proven experience in civil construction (roads, utilities, infrastructure, or similar)
n
- Previous supervisory or leading hand experience
n
- Valid excavator operator tickets and relevant plant licences
n
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing
n
- Ability to read and interpret plans and set out works
n
- White Card (Construction Induction) - essential
n
- Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
n
