Aston Equity Ventures is seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team on a permanent part-time basis, reporting directly to the CFO .

Aston Equity Ventures has a portfolio of companies operating within the mining and resources industry , with operations spanning Australian and international markets.

n

This is a 20-hour-per-week role , with the spread of hours across the working week to be negotiated with the successful applicant . As the role supports international business activities operating approximately 7.5 hours behind Sydney time , some flexibility to provide suitable overlap with international operations will be required.

A work-from-home arrangement is preferred , making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper looking for consistent part-time hours and flexibility while being an integral part of a broader finance team.

The Role n

Working within the Finance Team and reporting to the CFO, you will support the accurate and timely management of day-to-day bookkeeping and finance activities across a number of companies within the Aston Equity Ventures portfolio.

Responsibilities n

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
n
- Processing and allocating transactions
n
- Maintaining accurate general ledger records
n
- Invoicing and payment processing
n
- Supplier and customer account management
n
- Payroll processing and administration
n
- Processing and reconciling multi-currency transactions
n
- Assisting with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
n
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
n
- Liaising with management and international contacts as required
n




- Supporting the CFO and broader Finance Team as required
n
- General bookkeeping and finance administration
n

About You n

We are looking for someone who is experienced, organised and comfortable working both independently and as part of a finance team.

Essential Requirements n

- Demonstrated bookkeeping experience
n
- Strong MYOB AccountRight experience
n
- Demonstrated payroll processing and administration experience
n
- Sound understanding of multi-currency accounting and intercompany transactions
n
- Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles and account reconciliations
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Good organisational and time-management skills
n
- Confidence working independently in a remote environment
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n

Hours & Location n
