Pyramid Residential Care Centre is excited to introduce new Cook positions within our catering team, and we're looking for enthusiastic, talented and passionate people to join us!

What's Cooking at Pyramid? n

As one of our Cooks, you'll play an important role in creating delicious, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents.

n

Working alongside our Chef Manager and catering team, you'll help deliver a dining experience that goes beyond simply serving meals. You'll be helping create moments of enjoyment, comfort and connection for the people who call Pyramid home.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Preparing, cooking and presenting delicious, nutritious meals, snacks and refreshments.
n
- Catering for individual dietary needs, preferences and specialised diets.
n
- Ensuring meals are appealing, full of flavour and prepared with care.
n
- Supporting the Chef Manager with daily kitchen operations.
n
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
n
- Assisting with stock control, food preparation and minimising waste.
n




- Working collaboratively with a friendly and supportive catering team.
n
- Contributing ideas and feedback to continually improve our residents' dining experience.

What We're Looking For n

We're looking for people who bring great cooking skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for food.

n

Ideally, you'll have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a higher recognised qualification.
n
- Experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
n
- A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling.
n
- The ability to prepare quality meals while catering for different dietary requirements.
n
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
n
- A friendly, flexible and enthusiastic approach to your work.
n
- A genuine commitment to delivering quality food and excellent service.
n

n

Experience in aged care, healthcare or large-scale catering environments will be highly regarded, particularly knowledge of texture-modified meals and specialised dietary requirements.

n

You’ll also need to meet relevant aged care employment screening, vaccination and mandatory training requirements.
