Accountant - Top 100 Accounting Firm Sydney Full-Time
n The firm provides a broad range of accounting, taxation, business advisory and financial services to a diverse portfolio of Australian businesses and private clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an accounting professional who is looking to build their career within a supportive and professionally focused environment.
n This role will suit an Accountant who enjoys working across multiple client matters and is keen to develop their technical accounting and taxation capabilities.
n About the Role Working closely with experienced accountants and managers, you will be involved in a range of accounting and compliance activities, including:

n

- Preparing financial accounts and taxation returns for individuals, companies, trusts and other entities.
n
- Assisting with BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance requirements.
n
- Performing bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
n
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting month-end processes.
n
- Assisting with bookkeeping and accounting tasks across a portfolio of clients.
n
- Preparing financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation.
n
- Communicating with clients to obtain information and resolve accounting queries.
n
- Assisting senior accountants and managers with client engagements and advisory work.
n
- Identifying discrepancies and assisting with the resolution of accounting issues.
n
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
n
- Keeping up to date with relevant accounting, taxation and compliance requirements.
n





About You We are looking for someone with:n
n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline .
n
- Previous experience in an accounting practice or commercial accounting environment.
n
- Understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
n
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar .
n
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
n
- Strong client service and relationship-building skills.
n

CPA or CA studies, or an interest in pursuing skilled qualifications, will be highly regarded.
