Reporting into the Wholesale Markets and Energy Transition Strategy branch, the Senior Policy Officer develops policy and regulatory reform to support the Victorian Government to deliver safe, affordable, secure, reliable and sustainable energy. This role also contributes to the development of the national energy market regulatory frameworks as they apply to Victoria. The Senior Policy Officer provides evidence-based policy advice to the Minister for Energy and Resources and senior executives.

- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in a policy or regulatory government setting is advantageous
- Ability to engage with technical policy issues and legislation

This is a fixed-term position for three years, with flexible work location within Victoria and hybrid arrangements available. DEECA fosters inclusion and supports flexible working arrangements.
