Are you an experienced procurement professional with a strong commercial mindset?

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to manage procurement, inventory and supplier coordination across RNA's Food & Beverage operations and major events, including the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll combine procurement, supplier management, inventory control and commercial analysis in a fast‑paced event environment.

This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity with immediate start

What you’ll be doing

- Manage end‑to‑end procurement of food and beverage products, from requisition through to delivery and receiving
- Source quality products and achieve competitive pricing and commercial outcomes
- Raise and manage purchase orders, follow up suppliers and ensure timely delivery
- Manage inventory movements, stock levels, stocktakes, audits and cycle counts
- Monitor pricing, product usage and stock variances to identify savings and efficiencies
- Process invoices, credits and adjustments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Support F&B; and Kitchen teams with pricing, reporting and product advice
- Assist with forecasting and inventory planning based on usage and event requirements
- Maintain HACCP, supplier compliance and procurement governance requirements
- Provide operational and loading dock support during major events as required

About you

You are organised, commercially minded and confident working across procurement and inventory in a busy operational setting.





- Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory or supply chain, ideally within F&B;, hospitality, events or a similar environment
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
- Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, stocktakes and inventory systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A practical, hands‑on approach and strong commitment to customer and business outcomes
