Senior Mining Consultant - Surface Mining n

Use your mining experience in a new way, this is an opportunity for a Senior Mining Engineer with surface metals expertise to act as a trusted expert across surface mining operations, supporting customers across Brisbane or Adelaide, APAC and beyond.

What You’ll Do n

Working from either our Brisbane or Adelaide office, you will be the trusted expert helping customers succeed across Eastern Australia, APAC and beyond.

- Work with Deswik’s highly regarded mine planning software products across multiple customers, commodities, mine types and operations
n
- Provide extensive consulting services including mine design, production planning, scheduling, optimisation, and mine closure planning
n
- Support our customers in implementing Deswik’s software solutions, providing technical expertise and training solutions across pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales support
n
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying needs and architecting effective solutions
n
- Deliver advanced technology to the mining industry with our enterprise and optimisation products
n
- Work alongside highly experienced engineers, geologists and software professionals
n
- Provide input into software improvements and assist with scoping and testing new features
n

What You’ll Bring n

We are looking for a mining professional with extensive experience in surface metals projects, ideally with exposure to Deswik software.

- Degree in Mining Engineering
n




- 5-10+ years’ experience in surface metals mining in mine planning or mining consultancy roles
n
- Excellent mine planning software skills (Deswik software a distinct advantage)
n
- Demonstrated experience in mine design and planning across multiple planning horizons
n
- Evidence of delivering high value projects
n
- A flair for consulting and managing customer relationships
n
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
n
- A passion for innovation and a desire to grow and learn
n
- Open to travel to sites across Australia and potentially internationally
n
