We are seeking a Casual Chef to join the culinary team at Park view Hotel in Victoria. Key responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations
- Managing food preparation stations and ensuring productive workflow during service
- Monitoring food quality and presentation to meet customer expectations
- Assisting with inventory management and identifying stock requirements
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
- Responding flexibly to kitchen demands during busy periods
- Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen environment
About you
- Proven experience as a chef or cook in a hospitality or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to casual work arrangements
- Relevant culinary qualifications or training is highly valued
- Experience in a hotel or pub kitchen environment would be advantageous
