The Role

At Sodexo, we’re expanding our team and seeking service-driven individuals to join us as Chef Managers . This is your chance to work with a global facilities management leader while enjoying the benefits of a 14 days on, 14 days off roster based in Southeast Queensland.

What you’ll do:
n

- Manage staffing in consultation with the Operations Manager
n
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop and implement cost minimization measures where possible.
n
- Oversee housekeeping team and front of house procedures
n
- Rostering & leading on site teams
n
- Daily reporting
n
- Technical troubleshooting for clients and other departments as necessary
n
- Leading bulk cooking operations on remote sites with top-tier quality and safety standards.
n
- Managing operations profitability, budgets, and food quality standards (HACCP compliance).
n
- Fostering team growth in a dynamic, diverse environment while maintaining client relationships.

About You
n
n
- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights.
n
- FIFO or remote site experience desirable
n
- Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery
n
- Physically fit and able to work long shifts (up to 11 hours)
n
- You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months
n
- Ability to endure remote environments in extreme weather conditions
n
- Must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
n
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential
n
