Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for an opportunity to contribute to Western Australia's energy infrastructure? Join the Thermal Generation team at Pinjar Power Station and play a key role in supporting critical power generation assets through engineering excellence, technical problem-solving, and project delivery.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity offering competitive hourly rates, flexible roster arrangements, and the chance to work within a highly skilled operational environment.

The Opportunity n

As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical and project support to the gas turbine and distributed generation operations. You will lead engineering investigations, develop practical and cutting-edge solutions, and contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of key generation assets.

Working within the Thermal Generation team, you will undertake a broad range of engineering assignments including project management, design services, technical assessments, conceptual proposals, and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Deliver engineering support across power generation and operational assets.
n
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to completion.
n
- Prepare technical designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
n
- Lead investigations into technical and operational issues and develop practical solutions.
n
- Provide expert advice on electrical plant performance, reliability, and maintenance strategies.
n
- Support the ongoing safe, reliable,



and efficient operation of gas turbines and distributed generation assets.
n
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and technical specialists to achieve project objectives.
n

About You n

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

n

n
- A recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.
n
- Approximately 5-7 years of relevant engineering experience.
n
- Strong technical knowledge of: n n
- Generators
n
- Transformers
n
- Circuit breakers
n

n
- Experience within power generation, utilities, heavy industry, or similar operational environments.
n
- Exposure to gas turbine generation assets will be highly regarded.
n
- Demonstrated capability in technical investigations, engineering design, and project delivery.
n
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
n

Additional Requirements n

As this position is classified as a Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) critical role , successful applicants will be required to complete and pass an AusCheck background screening process before commencement.
