The Opportunity n

A large ASX-listed business based in Melbourne CBD is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team on a contract through to March 2027.

n

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a broad role supporting a major business unit across month-end, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and budgeting & forecasting.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to join a large, complex organisation and gain exposure across both financial and management reporting.

The Challenge n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing month-end journals and accounting across multiple business units
n
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Preparing monthly reporting, commentary and analysis
n
- Supporting annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
n
- Reviewing cash flow and net working capital
n
- Maintaining general ledger integrity and supporting ad hoc projects
n

The Expertise n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

n
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
n
- CA,



CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification
n
- A background within a Big 4 or Mid-Tier Chartered Accounting Firm
n
- Experience in financial accounting, management accounting or a similar broad finance role
n
- Strong month-end, reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
n
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex environment
n
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
n
- Candidates on Working Holiday Visas are encouraged to apply
