Run your own portfolio of SMB clients in a Fortitude Valley firm, with offshore support taking care of the prep so your time goes on review, advice and client contact.

nAbout The Role n
n

This is a public practice Client Manager role in a Brisbane firm of around 60 people, part of a multi-business group covering bookkeeping, financial advice, lending and property. You will own a portfolio of small and medium business clients end to end, with offshore support handling preparation so your day is review, client contact and advice.

nWhat You Will Be Doing n
n

n
- Owning a portfolio of SMB clients as their primary point of contact
n
n
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns and BAS for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and SMSFs
n
n
- Delivering monthly and quarterly management accounts and walking clients through what they mean
n
n
- Providing guidance beyond compliance, including budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
n
n
- Leading year end and planning conversations, including tax planning and structuring
n
n
- Reviewing the work of intermediate and junior accountants and giving feedback that develops them
n
n
- Acting as the technical backstop for the bookkeeping team when a job outgrows them
n
n
- Working daily with the offshore team,



setting the brief and reviewing what comes back
n
n
- Identifying where a client needs another part of the group, such as lending or wealth, and making the introduction
n
n

nWhat We Are Looking For n
n

n
n
- CA or CPA qualified
n
n
- At least 8 years in public practice, including recent Australian experience
n
n
- Comfortable across companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders
n
n
- Confident holding a client relationship without a manager in the room
n
n
- Desirable: Division 7A and small business CGT in practice, and experience reviewing or mentoring others
n
n
- Offshore support on every portfolio
n
n
- 2 days WFH & flexible hours, plus Finish Early Fridays
n
n
- Referral pathways into the wider group, so you always have something to offer when a client needs more than accounting
n
n
- Overseas qualified accountants with Australian practice experience are welcome
n
n
