Catering HQ Group is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Pastry Chef Apprentice to join their experienced and dedicated team.

About the Role:

n

The successful applicant will gain valuable hands-on experience across pastry preparation, baking and presentation while contributing to the production of desserts for multiple venues.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Assisting with the preparation, baking, cutting and presentation of pastry products
n
- Producing consistently high-quality dishes and desserts
n
- Supporting the preparation of desserts for large service numbers across multiple venues
n
- Developing knowledge of emerging food trends, techniques and products
n
- Following food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
n
- Reading and accurately following recipes and preparation instructions
n




- Working collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines
n
- Contributing ideas while remaining open to feedback, guidance and learning
n
- Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and grooming
n

About You:

n

Catering HQ Group is looking for someone who:

n

n
- Has a genuine interest in developing a career in pastry and commercial cookery
n
- Holds or is currently studying a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification
n
- Ideally has approximately one year of experience in a similar environment, although this is not essential
n
- Is hardworking, reliable and willing to show initiative
n
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
n
- Can accurately follow recipes and instructions
n
- Is eager to learn and develop current skills
n
- Is flexible with working hours, with shifts generally operating from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
n
