Warehouse Assistant

Join Mackay Sugar as a Warehouse Assistant and play an essential role in our operations, bringing your dedication, teamwork, commitment to safety, and focus on efficient warehouse operations to a energetic and supportive team.

About the role

Reporting to the Inventory Coordinator, this exciting opportunity will see you play an important role in the day-to-day management of warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will help ensure the right stock is available at the right time by maintaining inventory levels and supporting efficient store functions. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be self-motivated, safety-focused, and committed to delivering strong productivity outcomes. This position is currently based at Racecourse Mill.

Duties include

- Goods receipt materials and services.
- Issue of stock materials to reservations and counter service.
- Ensure correct volumes of stock items are maintained or available through ‘Just in Time deliveries.

- Experience in Warehouse and Stores;
- Experience in inventory control;
- The ability to perform duties to a high safety standard, in a team environment and in a safe manner;
- Current Forklift License (LF) and Drivers Licence. Tertiary Qualifications in Material Logistics are preferred but not essential.
