Job Description

Ecogroup is looking for a graduate or recently qualified engineer to join our manufacturing team in Dandenong South. This is a practical, hands-on engineering role working across our Bradford Products and Ecocanopy manufacturing businesses. You will work closely with our Head of Production & Technical and Production Team Leaders, learning how to support the systems behind our manufacturing operations - quality, 5S, production processes, NCRs, documentation, reporting and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Assisting with QA records, inspections, ITPs, checklists and hold-point documentation
n
- Supporting 5S audits and following up agreed improvement actions
n
- Maintaining NCR and defect registers and helping follow up corrective actions
n
- Assisting experienced team members to investigate recurring defects and manufacturing problems
n
- Compiling production KPIs, dashboards and routine reports
n
- Assisting with production planning information and capacity reporting
n
- Helping prepare and maintain manufacturing procedures and work instructions
n
- Supporting practical improvements to manufacturing processes, consistency and efficiency
n
- Learning and assisting with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
n
- Updating machinery servicing, maintenance and calibration registers
n





About you nn
- Recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline
n
- Practical and interested in how things are actually made
n
- Organised and good at following things through
n
- Comfortable working on the factory floor as well as at a computer
n
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
n
- Analytical and naturally interested in solving problems
n
- Confident communicating with tradespeople, engineers and managers
n
- Strong with Outlook, Excel and general computer systems
n
- Keen to learn, take on increasing responsibility and develop your career
n

- You'll be joining two Australian manufacturing businesses producing specialised engineered products. Unlike many graduate engineering positions, you'll have direct exposure to the factory, manufacturing processes, quality systems, engineering, projects and senior management.
