n Xenco is looking for a Metallurgist to support our mining clients across both production and project work. You’ll work directly with clients, either onsite or embedded within their teams, to:

The Opportunity
n Xenco is looking for a Metallurgist to support our mining clients across both production and project work. You’ll work directly with clients, either onsite or embedded within their teams, to:

- Improve metallurgical and production processes

- Develop and implement robust operating procedures

- Lead client teams to optimise output while maintaining product quality

This is an onsite, hands-on role for a pragmatic, solutions-focused professional who thrives on organising, advising, prioritising and driving continuous improvement.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Monitor daily plant performance and implement corrective actions to minimise commodity losses
n
- Rapidly troubleshoot operational issues and give production teams transparent, practical actions
n
- Provide high-quality metallurgical engineering support to production teams
n
- Plan and run in-house and onsite test programs,



including data analysis and reporting
n
- Identify, justify and deliver continuous improvement projects that lift plant performance
n
- Support commissioning alongside process engineering teams, and oversee the installation of plant equipment and process changes at client sites
n
- Champion change management so improvements are embedded in day-to-day operations
n
- Manage supplier relationships to maximise value and ensure procurement compliance
n
- Maintain structured data systems for efficient reporting and auditing
n

What You’ll Bring

n

n
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or a related field
n
- Minimum 3 years’ onsite operational experience in a metallurgical role at a concentrator, mill or wash plant
n
- Experience across multiple commodities and processes is highly regarded
n
- Strong understanding of process control systems and their impact on metallurgical performance
n
- Proven ability to build effective relationships at all levels, from the control room to site leadership
n
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills
n
