Role Description

The Managing Director is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW, with a blend of on-site collaboration and versatile work-from-home arrangements. The role oversees overall business strategy, financial performance, and operational efficiency, ensuring that DATAGEM Analytics meets growth targets and delivers high-quality services. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding senior leaders, setting priorities, approving major projects, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. The Managing Director will drive business development, represent the company in external forums, and manage risk, compliance, and governance standards. This role also involves fostering a positive, inclusive culture, mentoring team members,



and ensuring that data and analytics initiatives align with client needs and market opportunities.

Qualifications

- Leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic planning and business development capabilities, with a track record of driving growth and market expansion.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial performance metrics.
- Background in data, analytics, consulting, or a related field, with the ability to understand complex technical offerings.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills for engaging clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Experience with governance, compliance, and risk management in a commercial or professional services environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site leadership in Sydney with remote collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, technology, or a related discipline; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive leadership, ethical practices, and continuous improvement.
