A global investment banking platform is seeking an experienced M&A; banker to join its Sydney business at Vice President or Director level. The team works with leading corporates and financial sponsors on transformational transactions, bringing together strategic advice, sector expertise and execution capabilities across a broad range of situations.

This hire will suit a banker looking for more than a purely execution-focused position. You will be involved from the early stages of a transaction, helping clients assess strategic options, evaluate potential acquisitions and divestments,



and navigate complex negotiations through to completion. You will also play an key role in developing client relationships, identifying emerging opportunities and working alongside senior sector coverage colleagues to convert strategic discussions into mandates.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years of M&A; experience, with the technical depth to challenge assumptions, develop robust valuation frameworks and guide complex transaction processes. Equally important is the ability to think commercially, communicate with conviction and build credibility with senior stakeholders. Experience managing deal teams and contributing to origination will be particularly relevant for candidates operating at Director level.
