Stanthorpe Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its General Ward team on a four-week contract basis. Based in Stanthorpe, Queensland, this role offers the chance to deliver direct patient care in a rural healthcare setting, working up to 80 hours per fortnight from 8 October through 1 November 2026. The successful candidate will bring advanced clinical skills and a cooperative approach to a dynamic ward environment.

- Four-week contract role in a rural general ward setting with flexible rostering

- Potential to support other services across the hospital as needed, broadening clinical experience

Preferred Requirements

- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification




- Demonstrated competence in cannulation and emergency response procedures
- Experience with triage assessment and patient prioritisation
- Proven experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings
- Robust team leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across ward and hospital services

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Additional training or experience in rural and remote nursing practice
