Thornton North Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality meals to our young students. This is a full time position atThornton, NSW 2322.

What you'll be doing n

- Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care
n
- Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen, ensuring all food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
n
- Assist with the ordering and inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients
n




- Collaborate with the early learning centre team to understand and cater to the dietary requirements of the children
n
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a seasonal menu
n
- Adhere to all relevant food handling and hygiene regulations
n

What we're looking for nn
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role in a commercial kitchen or early learning/childcare setting
n
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
n
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive work environment
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Enthusiasm for creating nutritious, high-quality meals for children
