The company designs, manufactures, and tests non-toxic thrusters, space-rated valves, and full propulsion systems for small satellites. The company is continually growing and is onboarding current staff and increasing its product line.

This is an exciting time to become a part of Valiant Space and our journey! We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a fast-paced, hands-on position that will give you the chance to test spaceflight hardware!

Responsibilities n
n

n
n
- Support design efforts across Valiant's product range, including thrusters, valves, and propellant tanks
n
n
- Develop mechanical hardware for ground testing equipment
n
n
- Perform combined structural and thermal analysis on critical flight hardware
n
n
- Conduct acceptance testing of finished products and systems
n
n




- Contribute to team efforts of overall product design
n
n

n
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience n
n

n
n
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
n
n
- Ability to work autonomously in a demanding startup atmosphere
n
n
- High proficiency with Autodesk Fusion360 or equivalent CAD packages
n
n
- Experience conducting FEA and interpreting results
n
n
- Excellent communication and time management skills
n
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
n

n
Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience n
n

n
n
- >3 years of relevant aerospace experience
n
n
- Experience with pressure equipment / fittings
n
n
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Matlab).
n
n
- Experience working with space standards and requirements
n
n
