We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experiencedCook to manage the kitchen and preparation ofmeals at Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home located inPort Kennedy.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience managinga kitchen efficiently and preparing food that is nutritious, wellpresented and within budget constraints.

About You n

n
- Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as,a Cook for large groups of people, ideally in an aged care,hospital or similar environment
n
- Minimum requirement of a Certificate III in CommercialCookery
n
- Ability to supervise other members of staff
n
- Experience in ordering food item and awareness of wastemanagement
n
- Excellent working knowledge of the Food Act and FoodStandards Code
n
- Willing to obtain relevant vaccinations
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National PoliceClearance (or willingness to apply for one)
n

The Role nn
- Manage the preparation and cooking of meals on site,including ordering of food stuffs
n




- Prepare appetising and nutritious meals using freshingredients
n
- Manage and develop a small team, including training staffon appropriate food presentation and preparationtechniques
n
- Understand and deliver special dietary requirements for ourresidents
n
- Managing the catering for small functions
n
- Undertake responsibility of daily food secure documentationand ensure compliance is met
n
