About the Role n

We are looking for a friendly, motivated and organised Retail & Social Media Assistant to join our team.

n

This is a varied role combining traditional retail and customer service responsibilities with social media management, product promotion and content creation.

n

You will play an important role in assisting customers, maintaining our showroom, promoting our products and helping showcase our range across social media and other digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner.
n
- Provide product information, advice and recommendations based on customer needs.
n
- Process sales and transactions accurately through our point-of-sale system.
n
- Respond to customer enquiries in-store, over the phone and through online channels.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised, well-stocked and visually appealing showroom.
n
- Assist with stock replenishment, inventory management and visual merchandising.
n
- Help promote new products, specials,



promotions and services.
n
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the company's social media accounts.
n
- Create and schedule engaging social media content showcasing products, promotions, new arrivals and company updates.
n
- Photograph and video products for use across social media, our website and marketing campaigns.
n
- Help create simple promotional graphics, product demonstrations, reels and other digital content.
n
- Assist with showcasing products in an appealing and informative way to help customers better understand their features and benefits.
n
- Monitor social media engagement and assist with responding to customer comments and messages.
n
- Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns, promotions and new ways to showcase our products.
n
- Work towards sales targets by confidently recommending and promoting suitable products and services.
n
- Comply with company policies, procedures and workplace safety standards.
n

Skills and Qualifications nn
- Previous retail, customer service or sales experience is preferred.
n
- Experience and/or knowledge of animal grooming is highly desirable.
n
- An interest in pets, grooming products and the pet industry.




n
- Experience managing business social media accounts would be highly regarded.
n
- Confidence using platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
n
- An interest in creating photos, videos, reels and promotional content.
n
- Basic knowledge of Canva, photo editing or similar content creation programs would be advantageous.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
n
- A willingness to learn about our products and confidently demonstrate and promote them.
