Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including a 128-slice CT scanner, 3 Tesla MRI, advanced endoscopy, multiple ultrasound units, and an on-site pathology lab. We are committed to clinical excellence and to supporting veterinarians in their professional growth.

About the Internship

n

This 12-month Surgical Internship is part of the nationally recognised Greencross Intern Program , designed to support your transition into specialist surgical practice in a vibrant teaching hospital environment.

n

As a Surgical Intern, you will:

n

n
- Assist in surgical consultations, diagnostics, and procedures
n
- Participate in perioperative patient care and surgical rounds
n
- Engage in journal clubs, case presentations, and hospital-wide multidisciplinary rounds
n
- Collaborate with specialists across disciplines including Internal Medicine, ECC, Neurology, Oncology, Anaesthesia, and more
n




- Receive structured mentoring and progressive clinical responsibility
n

n

What We’re Looking For

n

You are a motivated, professional and enthusiastic veterinarian who:

n

n
- Is eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria
n
- Holds a current radiation licence
n
- Has strong communication skills, a solid medical knowledge base, and a great work ethic
n
- Has clinical experience (desirable but not essential)
n

n
