Are you an experienced accounts all-rounder who is ready to step into a senior role? n

Guardian Personal Alarms is looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to join our growing Finance & Accounts team.

n

This is a hands‑on senior position for someone with strong, broad accounts experience who is confident in Xero , enjoys solving problems and is comfortable being someone others can turn to for guidance and support.

n

You’ll work closely with our Finance & Accounts Manager and existing Senior Accounts Officer , becoming a second senior member of the team and helping provide additional experience, capability and support across the accounts function.

n

While this is not a management position, we are looking for someone who is comfortable stepping up when needed — whether that means assisting less experienced team members, helping manage day‑to‑day priorities, or providing additional senior support when the Finance & Accounts Manager or other Senior Accounts Officer is on leave.

n

If you're an accounts all‑rounder who can confidently move between Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, debtors, reconciliations and general accounts administration , we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing n

n
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
n
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
n
- Raising customer invoices and allocating payments
n
- Managing debtors and following up outstanding accounts
n
- Assisting with payroll processing and payroll administration
n
- Completing bank and account reconciliations
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records in Xero
n
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
n
- Working alongside the existing Senior Accounts Officer to help keep the accounts function running smoothly
n
- Providing guidance and practical support to less experienced team members when required
n




- Helping answer accounts queries and sharing your knowledge with the team
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounts processes and ways of working
n
- Taking ownership of issues and following them through to resolution
n

- Highly experienced across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
n
- Experienced with payroll
n
- Confident with debtor management and collections
n
- Strong with reconciliations, invoicing and general accounts administration
n
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
n
- Confident investigating discrepancies and solving problems
n
- Proactive and willing to take ownership
n
- A supportive team player who enjoys sharing their knowledge
n
- Comfortable providing guidance to less experienced team members
n
- Confident enough to step up and provide additional senior support when required
n
- You don't need to have been an Accounts Manager. We're looking for someone with solid, broad accounts experience who is ready to operate at a senior level , take greater ownership and be a reliable source of support within the team.
