Cleansing Services Officer – Waste Location: Rydalmere, NSW n

CK Recruitment is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleansing Services Officer to join a local council team in Parramatta.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining clean public spaces, and wants to make a positive contribution to the local community.

About the Role n

Tuesday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00. 30 minute break

n

Saturday 07:30 - 12:00. 30 minute break

n

Working as part of the Waste and Cleansing team, you will help maintain the cleanliness, presentation and safety of public areas throughout the Parramatta local government area.

n

Your duties will include:

n

- n

Balancing self-management and working as a team to operate Council’s Community Recycling Centre.

n
- n

Ensuring the facility is maintained and clean, directing of customers to enable the unloading and sorting of acceptable waste streams.

n
- n

Directing and assisting with the unloading and sorting of acceptable waste stream received at the facility

n
- n

Carrying out general cleansing and maintenance of public areas.

n
- n

Inspecting public spaces and council assets to identify issues and potential hazards.

n
- n

Completing scheduled work programs efficiently and to the required standards.

n
- n

Using equipment, tools and materials appropriately and minimising waste.

n
- n





Completing basic administrative tasks and job records.

n
- n

Following workplace health and safety procedures.

n
- n

Assisting other operational teams when required, including during wet weather or emergencies.

n

What We're Looking For n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- n

A current NSW driver's licence (Class C minimum; MR licence highly regarded).

n
- n

Previous experience in a similar outdoor, maintenance, cleaning or operational role.

n
- n

The physical fitness required to undertake hands-on outdoor work.

n
- n

A current White Card.

n
- n

Current Traffic Control qualifications (TCR and IMP), or a willingness and ability to obtain them before employment is confirmed.

n
- n

Chemical Use AQF3 qualification, or a willingness and ability to obtain it before employment is confirmed.

n
- n

A strong work ethic, a safety-first attitude and the ability to work independently.

n
