Twilight Aged Care is a stand-alone not-for-profit service with a rich history spanning over 100 years.

Employing over 300 dedicated staff, they provide high quality residential aged care for more than 160 men and women in 5 locations across Northern Sydney – Gordon,Mosman, Hunters Hill, Dural andGladesville.

The Role n

The Maintenance Officer ensures the implementation, co-ordination, monitoring and reporting on the effective and effective preventative and corrective maintenance for our buildings and equipment. This is a hands on role with the support of Maintenance Manager.

Key Accountabilities n

n
- Undertakes handyman duties as required to ensure a safe environment for staff and residents
n
- Ensures preventative maintenance and corrective action is completed as allocated and scheduled, including requirements for essential services
n
- Record completion of work in the organisations information system for maintenance documentation.
n
- Maintenance of resident rooms on a regular basis, and undertake minor repairs as necessary
n
- Ensure safety testing, checking and tagging of electrical items as required
n
- Follows up and acts on allocated Hazard/Improvement Forms related to maintenance services
n
- Ensures the continuous improvement of Twilight environment and processes
n
- Conduct performance in accordance to regulatory requirements
n




- Contributes to refurbishment and equipment replacement
n
- Provide an environment of knowledge sharing and teamwork with the other Maintenance Officer across other facilities
n
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement
n
- Contribute to WHS committee and undertake inspections as required
n
- Other duties as directed from time to time
n

Working at our Facility in Gordon Sydney

n

Contract: Temporary Permanent Part Time (14 weeks)

n

Monday to Thursday (approximately 8am to 4pm)

n

Flexible start and finish times may potentially be available

About you n

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will treat residents in a respectful and courteous manner. Further, you will have:

n

An up to date Police Check/NDISWC

n

A valid NSW Drivers License and own car

n

Previous experience working in community or aged care would be highly regarded

n

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills

n

Practical mindset with good problem solving/troubleshooting

n

Independent and self motivated

n

Desirable - License or experience in:

n

Plumbing

n

Painting

n

Rubbish & Recycling

n

Roofing/Working at heights certification

n

NSW Construction White Card

n
