OVERSEER – SHEEP & GRAZING KANGAROO ISLAND, SOUTH AUSTRALIA n

A professionally managed agricultural business is seeking a capable livestock overseer to join a well-developed sheep and mixed farming operation on Kangaroo Island.

n

This role is flexible depending on experience — suited to a strong Overseer, or an experienced head stockman sheep operator ready to step into greater responsibility within a structured business.

n

The focus is on practical livestock capability, reliability, working dog skills and the ability to contribute within a quality commercial farming operation.

THE OPERATION n

n
- Approx. 1,500ha grazing / arable country
n
- Merino ewe base operation producing first cross lambs
n
- Flock currently rebuilding toward scale
n
- Seasonal trade cattle program
n
- Approx. 200ha cropping program (canola / barley / grazing crops)
n
- Part of a broader 3-farm Kangaroo Island aggregation
n
- Shared planning, labour and operational support across the group
n

THE ROLE nn
- Hands-on involvement across day-to-day sheep and livestock operations
n
- Mustering, yard work, animal health treatments and supplementary feeding
n
- Support grazing and pasture management programs
n
- Operate machinery and maintain infrastructure including fencing, water systems and yards
n
- Work alongside Farm Manager and broader management team

- Coordinate or support contractors during shearing, crutching, marking and seasonal operations
n
- Step into greater responsibility where capability allows
n

ABOUT YOU nn
- Solid practical sheep / grazing background
n
- Confident stock handler with strong working dog skills
n
- Reliable, practical and hands‑on operator
n
- Machinery capability and general farm maintenance skills
n
- Able to work within a structured team environment
n
