The Opportunity n

ROUSSOS Recruitment is exclusively partnering with an established national design business to appoint a Senior Interior Designer to its Adelaide studio.

n

Working across commercial interiors, including workplace, government and other public and private-sector environments, the Adelaide team delivers a diverse portfolio of considered, design-led projects for established clients.

n

You will play a key role in leading projects, developing design outcomes and building strong client relationships, while also supporting the development of junior and intermediate designers within the team.

n

The role is particularly well suited to a Senior Interior Designer who is already mentoring others and is ready to make that a more formal part of their role.

n

You will remain hands-on across design, documentation and delivery, while taking greater ownership of team coordination, design quality and project leadership.

n

There is also flexibility around working arrangements, including consideration of a four-day week and flexible start and finish times for the right person.

The Role n

You will lead interior design projects across the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants and the broader design team.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Leading commercial interior projects from concept through to documentation and delivery
n
- Developing design concepts, space planning and design solutions
n
- Managing client relationships, presentations, workshops and design discussions
n




- Remaining hands-on with design development and technical documentation
n
- Coordinating consultants, stakeholders, project programmes and deliverables
n
- Reviewing documentation and maintaining high standards of design and technical quality
n
- Mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate designers
n
- Providing day-to-day guidance and contributing to the development of the Adelaide interiors team
n
- Supporting the Studio leadership team with design direction and project oversight
n
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Adelaide studio
n

The Like Mind n

We are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer who is ready to broaden their leadership responsibilities while remaining closely connected to the design process.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- 7+ years' commercial interior design experience, with 10+ years highly regarded
n
- Proven experience leading projects across concept, design development, documentation and delivery
n
- Strong concept design, space planning and technical capability
n
- Advanced Revit capability and strong design documentation skills
n
- Confidence managing clients, consultants and project stakeholders
n
- Experience reviewing documentation and maintaining design and technical quality
n
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior and intermediate designers
n
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style
n
- The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and provide direction to others
n

You may already be taking on informal team leadership responsibilities, or you may be an established Senior Interior Designer ready to step into a more structured leadership role.

n
